Seek Joy in Service

Dyslexia Base

Here at St Michael's, we are pleased to provide a dyslexia base for all Enfield Primary and Secondary teaching staff.

With one in ten of the population estimated to have dyslexia, it is likely that every teacher will be teaching children on the dyslexic continuum.

The School operates a half-termly drop in workshop session, where teachers can browse resources and discuss the theme of the session.  Space will also be available for consultation and advice.

We aim to provide opportunities to gain an insight into some of the difficulties experienced by these children and young people and consult on how the classroom can be adapted to support these pupils, particularly with muliti-sensory methods in mind.
