Seek Joy in Service

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places     you’ll go.”   Dr Seuss

We have lots of fun with our learning in Key Stage One! We have theme weeks related to topics we are learning and always find an excuse to have a dress up day!
In year one children are introduced to more formal learning through a transition period when they first start. In year two we work hard to give the children opportunities to increase their independence ready for life in the juniors.  Phonics is a key part of the infant learning week and we use a software called Bug Club to keep the learning fun and interactive.
We have a great time preparing and performing a Christmas production each year and also take part in music concerts and festivals throughout the year.
Key stage one take our learning further afield aswell with visits to the Roald Dahl museum, local conservation areas and the seaside.
