Mental Arithmetic
Complete the mental arithmetic. You should spend about 25-30 minutes completing it. Once you have finished, mark your answers.

Lesson 4: EXPERIMENT
Our aims for this week were:
- describe the simple functions of the basic parts of the digestive system in humans.
- identify the different types of teeth in humans and their simple functions.

Experiment 1: Homemade digestive system (making a poo!)

Click on this link to find out what you need and what you need to do. The video included lots of different ingredients, however, we do not believe you need all of these.
You will need:
- clear plastic bag
-weetabix or digestive biscuits
- warm water
- one leg of an old pair of tights
- tea towel
-large bowl.
If you can, take pictures and email them in.
Experiment 2: Tooth decay
Using eggs which are made from a material that is very similar to our tooth enamel. Enamel plays a very important role in protecting our teeth from damage.
Join Miss O'Brien in investigation the impact certain drinks will have on egg shell.
I would like you to record what happens to your eggs, below is an example but you can make up your own.
You will need:
-4 eggs
-4 clear cups
-4 drinks ( 1 will need to be water and 1 will need to be milk).
