Easter Holiday Activities

Hello Year 1 and welcome to the Easter Holidays!

As the holidays are a time for you to have fun and spend quality time with your families, whether it is in person or over the internet, we will not be setting you formal Maths and English work. However, here are a couple of fun ideas of things to keep you and your family busy for the next 2 weeks.

Build a home for one of the 3 little pigs!

Use what every you like and build a home for one of the 3 little pigs!

Look at what Ms Mayho created using just a box, some white and brown paint, some red paper and  glue.

Marble Run Challenge

Have a Look at the Science activities tab on the Home Learning page. Have a go at the Marble Run Challenge set by Mr Smith.

Say Thank you

Make a colourful poster to put it in your window to say thank you to all the people who are helping us while we are at home. It could be for the postman, refuse collector or a bus driver for example. You can design your own or print one off from the link below.

Be crafty with your Easter Egg box

Now we all love a good tasty chocolate Easter Egg at this time of year. So instead of throwing the box away afterwards, why not make it into something else. Let’s see just how creative we can be with an egg’s packaging by making something arty out of it.

You might want to make a space picture, a bookmark, earrings, a windmill or sculpture for example. It’s up to you to choose so have fun.

Remember to take photos of everything you do!

Wishing you a safe and  Happy Easter!

Lots of love from

All the Year 1 Team x
