Geography
"The study of geography is about more than just memorising places on a map. It's about understanding the complexity of our world, appreciating the diversity of cultures that exists across continents. And in the end, it's about using all that knowledge to help bridge divides and bring people together."
Barack Obama
The aim of Geography within St Michael's is to introduce the pupils to the wonder and of the world we live in.
We aim to develop their love and respect for the natural world and encourage them to act with integrity towards it. Our motto (Seek Joy in Service) can be extended to apply to serving and conserving the natural world. Once inspired and motivated, our pupils will become The Leaders of Tomorrow and lead others in the correct guardianship of our world and its resources. The curriculum we use is led by the National Curriculum.
Our curriculum is based on the 2014 National Curriculum
