Frog Watch

I am very lucky to have a pond in my garden and we regularly get frogs coming to visit and most years in the spring they lay their egg mass or frogspawn.

I thought it would be fun for you to share with me the process of how these tadpoles turn into frogs which is called metamorphosis.

The eggs have now developed and there are now lots of newly hatched tadpoles swimming in my pond,

These tadpoles feed on the algae that grows in the pond. In the video you can see the bright green algae that they eat on the side of the pond.

I have also attached a fun fact sheet to give you some more fun frog facts.

 Love from Mrs Priddle.
