Seek Joy in Service

Personal Development

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”    Aesop

Personal, social, health and relationships education is absolutely central to all that we hold dear!
Visitors to the school often comment on the maturity, confidence and cheery relationships they see as they walk around the school. This doesn’t ‘just happen’!
Over their years at St. Michael’s R.E., Philosophy, PSHE,  British Values, Performing Arts and Science lessons all feed into the personal development of our children.
Confidence is built from the first experience of speaking up clearly in assembly in Reception; practising clear diction and projection for church services in the middle years; to learning how to shake hands, look people in the eye and make conversation with members of local clubs for the elderly. All these experiences teach essential social skills.
Children at St Michael's are expected  to treat all people with respect and kindness, regardless of any differences of any sort.  Our school values of Love, Integrity and Respect are the foundation of everything we do.
