Policies

On this page you can find links to various policies, protocols and procedures. These documents  exist to help the staff, school leaders and governors make decisions.

Some policies are written to ensure that the ethos and 'character' of the school is maintained; some are written to ensure that the school remains within the law in all that it does and some are written so that agencies such as the Local Education Authority (LA) or the London Diocesean Board for Schools (LDBS) can ensure that their schools comply with the rules for their organisation.

Some of the 'policies' below are not actually policies at all! They are protocols or guidelines. The purpose of protocols and guidelines is pretty much the same as policies. They tell the people involved what they should and shouldn't do in various situations.  Most policies are just common sense but, in order to make sure everybody acts in the same way, this 'common sense' needs to be written down.

You will find policies such as our Behaviour and Discipline policy,  our Complaints Procedure, e-safety,  Charging and Remissions Policies and our Accessibility Plan among others.

policy is a deliberate system of principles to guide decisions and achieve rational outcomes.

A policy is a statement of intent, and is implemented as a procedure or protocol. Policies can assist in both subjective and objective decision making.
