Statutory Test Results: 2017

We are very proud of our children’s achievements who, with their teachers, have worked extremely hard and always try their best.  Thanks to all those who have played a part in helping the children succeed: our staff, parents and volunteers.

New assessment measures and tests were introduced in 2016 at KS1 and KS2, reflecting the more challenging curriculum that was introduced in 2014. Consequently, results for those 2 years only are shown, along with National results (where available).

For EYFS and Phonics, results for the previous 2 years are shown, alongside the latest results and, where available, National results.

At KS2, the Expected standard is a scaled score of 100 or more achieved in Reading, Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling, and Maths tests. The Higher standard is a scaled score of 110 or more. Writing at the Expected and Higher standard refers to teacher assessment.

Results shown are provisional – these will be updated when they become available.

Previous Results

In 2016, the new, more challenging National Curriculum, which was introduced in 2014, was assessed by new tests and interim frameworks for teacher assessment.

Results are no longer reported as levels: each pupil receives their test results as a scaled score and teacher assessments are based on the standards in the interim framework. The ‘expected’ standard has been raised be higher than the old level 4. As a result, figures for 2016 are not comparable to earlier years.

(DFE: Statistical first release, September 2016)

The expected standard in the tests is a scaled score of 100 or above. The government have set the threshold for a high score, which for 2016 is 110.

Below are provisional results – final results will be available later in the year.
