Results 2018

The documents below outline results for the school year 2017-2018.

New assessment measures and tests were introduced in 2016 at KS1 and KS2, reflecting the more challenging curriculum that was introduced in 2014.

For EYFS and Phonics, results for the previous 2 years are shown, alongside the latest results and, where available, National results.

At KS2, the Expected standard is a scaled score of 100 or more achieved in Reading, Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling, and Maths tests. The Higher standard is a scaled score of 110 or more. Writing at the Expected and Higher standard refers to teacher assessment.

Results shown are provisional – these will be updated when they become available.

Main points:

  • Maths results at Expected were comparable with LY, as were Reading and Writing at Greater depth.
  • Reading and Writing were lower than LY at Expected, although this cohort achieved less well than LY at EYFS.
  • Most PP children achieved the Expected standard.
  • Many SEN children did not achieve the Expected standard; however, 3 children have severe difficulties. In relation to EYFS, 2 SEN children in Reading made more than expected progress, as did 3 children in Maths.
  • 3 EAL children are also SEN, therefore EAL children did relatively well.
  • Boys and girls results were similar in both levels in Reading and Maths at Expected.
  • Girls performed better in Writing at both levels.
  • Boys performed better than girls at GD.
  • More girls than boys achieved Expected in all 3 subjects.
