Safeguarding
If you have a concern about the safety of a child – it is your duty to report it. It is probably noting but … could you live with yourself if a child came to harm because you did nothing?
Any concerns at all should be passed on to a member of the safeguarding Team. We promise that we will listen carefully and that we will not think you are daft if it is just a small thing.
The Designated Safeguarding Team at St. Michael’s consists of:

The school works closely with families and can often point families to the best place to get help and support. We also work closely with Social Services, the NHS, the police and a range of agencies. There are clear procedures for the school to refer safeguarding concerns to the correct agency. Whenever the school makes a referral, parents and carers will be informed as soon as possible. The only exception to this would be if it was considered that the child would be in more danger if parents were informed.
