Seek Joy in Service

Year One

Hello lovely Year 1 children and Parents,

Welcome to the Year 1 Working from Home Zone!  We hope you are keeping well.

We will be posting work you should do from home on this page.  Remember to do your best when you complete the work.  Show your grown-ups how amazing you are.

If you finish all of the activities you can always :-

  • Read your favourite books
  • Work on your sketching and drawing skills
  • Keep practicing your French
  • Learn a new dance
  • Practice the songs Mr P has taught you
  • Keep active by doing P.E with Joe -

Activities for each week can be found by selecting the relevant tab on the left.  However, here are a couple of links to help children to learn their times tables.  The goal for a Year 1 child is to be able to count in multiples of 2, 5 and 10 by the end of the academic year.

Kaiden has been busy helping a super hero to fix the punctuation of a story on the ~BBC Bitesize website.  He's having lots of fun.  Here's the link...

Romeo and his mum have devised a way to help children to learn one more/one less and ten more/ten less, using a 100 square.

Another STOP PRESS!!!

Please can you email photos of your children doing VE Day activities.  Miss Khimasia (our lead for History) wants to get photos for this special event onto the school website.  One idea could be photos of children wearing the medals they designed.  Or, if your baking a commemorative cake, that would be great!  Thank you!
